Kula 'Anela (Hawaiian for Golden Angel) has been our pride and joy, since its debut in 1995. Crews start at the base of the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and race through the San Francisco Bay around Angel Island and back, facing challenging currents, high winds and changing conditions at every turn. This race brings together our paddling ohana in one of the most picturesque settings in California.
